Penerapan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Berbasis Web yang Efektif Untuk Pemilihan Produk Terbaik Menggunakan Metode SMART dalam Meningkatkan Keputusan Pemilihan Produk Berkualitas Studi Kasus: Toko Sumber Rezeki

Abstract

This study develops and implements a web-based Decision Support System using the SMART method to assist in selecting the best products at Sumber Rezeki Store, addressing the problem of manual product selection based on subjective experience. The system was developed using the Waterfall method with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL, implementing SMART through criteria determination (price, quality, durability, demand), weighting, normalization, utility calculation, and ranking. Black Box testing confirmed all features functioned according to user needs, while White Box testing verified the algorithm logic with a Cyclomatic Complexity value of 4 and 4 independent paths successfully executed. The SMART calculation results showed that product PLD-65UG9959 achieved the highest score of 0.750, outperforming other products and being recommended as the best choice. The system successfully reduced decision-making time from hours to minutes and eliminated subjectivity in product assessment. This research concludes that the web-based DSS with the SMART method effectively improves product selection decisions, providing objective, accurate, and transparent recommendations. The system successfully reduces subjectivity and errors, increases efficiency, and supports business competitiveness at Sumber Rezeki Store through data-driven decision-making.
