In this era of sophisticated technological development, several sectors must compete with each other to develop the sector they manage. One way to develop it is to make predictions or forecasting. Prediction is a process for systematically estimating something that will happen in the future based on data and information obtained from the past with the aim of minimizing errors both in forecasting and when taking an action. One method that can be used in making a prediction is the linear regression method. In this literature review, it can be found that the use of the linear regression method is quite easy to implement and also produces a fairly high level of accuracy and a fairly low error rate for some objects so that future results are likely to be not much different from predictions that have been made.
