Abstract

Yam or cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) becomes a staple food after rice. And corn in indonesia is located in Lampung Province with a land area harvested in 2013, cassava production in Lampung Province reachead 8.33 million tons. However, there are still many obstacles in teh production of cassava cultivation, such as fusarium with disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum. The use of the disease-resistant Cassava cultivar is expected to be an important disease control alternative. The purpose of this study is to find out the total phenol content. This research was carried out in October-December 2023 at the Botani and House Laboratory, Departement of Biology, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Sciences, University of Lampung. This research uses a Complete Random Design (RAL) with one concentration factory, namely salicylic acid which is divided into 5 concentration levels, namely 0 ppm,80 ppm,100 ppm,120 ppm and 140 ppm. Research data in the formof qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data is presented in a descriptive form and supported by photos, while quantitative data is tabulated with different concentration factors. The research result show that there is an increase in total phenol in cassava plants along with the increase in the concentration of salicylic acid used.
