Produksi Perikanan Karang Di Perairan Terumbu Karang TWAL Pulau Pombo Kecamatan Salahutu Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Provinsi Maluku

Ekosistem terumbu karang Taman Wisata Alam Laut (TWAL) Pulau Pombo memainkan peranan penting dalam dinamika ekosistem laut pesisir dan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan produksi perikanan karang di perairan terumbu karang Pulau Pombo. Responden dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling (haphazard atau accidental). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat tangkap yang digunakan meliputi pancing ulur dengan mata kait tunggal, pancing ulur dengan 2 - 15 mata kait (menara rangkai), jaring, dan jaring dengan bantuan kompresor. Hasil tangkapan terdiri dari 3 ordo (Perciformes, Tetraodontiformes, dan Beryciformes), 9 famili (Serranidae, Carangidae, Lutjanidae, Balistidae, Mullidae, Acanthuridae, Holocentridae, Scaridae, dan Lethrinidae), dan 24 spesies. Produksi perikanan karang di perairan Pulau Pombo yang mencakup area seluas 1,3947 km2 diperkirakan mencapai 8.122 kg ikan karang per tahun, yang merupakan total tangkapan atau rata-rata 325 kg per nelayan per tahun.
