Pembuatan Peta Spasial Tipologi Genangan Rawa Lebak (Zonasi Watun) Sebagai Upaya Mendukung Pengelolaan Tata Air Di Desa Hambuku Lima

Abstract

Hambuku Lima Village, Babirik Subdistrict, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan Province, has a lowland swamp ecosystem with great potential for use as agricultural land.  However, this land has not been fully utilized due to problems with the irrigation system (polder), which cause prolonged waterlogging and uncontrolled weed growth.  This community service project aims to identify the types of waterlogged areas in the swamp land (Watun zoning) to create a spatial information document for the village government.  The methods used included geospatial mapping using a Geographic Information System (GIS) and participatory field surveys,. The mapping results show that the village’s topography consists of a basin divided into three areas: Watun 1, covering 37.21 hectares; Watun 2, covering 137.41 hectares; and Watun 3, covering 85.32 hectares.  The irrigation system is not functioning properly, forcing farmers to cultivate crops only in Watun 1, which covers 35.90 hectares, while most of the land in Watun 2 and 3 is no longer managed and has become overgrown with shrubs and brush, covering an area of 206.70 hectares.  The handover of this Watun zoning map provides concrete data to village officials to formulate technical proposals for the repair of canals and dams to be submitted to the relevant authorities.
