Penguatan Literasi Membaca Dan Komunikasi Interpersonal Generasi Muda Di Era Digital Melalui Pendekatan Partisipatif

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to literacy and communication patterns in society, especially among the younger generation. Easy access to information through digital media provides opportunities to enhance knowledge; however, it also creates challenges such as low reading interest, declining critical thinking skills, and weak interpersonal communication abilities. This Community Service Program aimed to improve reading literacy and effective communication skills through an educative and participatory approach. The implementation methods included counseling sessions, group discussions, communication simulations, role play activities, and writing practices. The evaluation process was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests, participant observation, and feedback assessment. The results showed improvements in oral communication skills, reading literacy, writing abilities, and participants’ self-confidence. The highest improvement was found in self-confidence and interpersonal communication because participants were directly involved in communication practices. This program demonstrates that participatory and practice-based approaches are effective in improving literacy and communication quality in the digital era. The activity is expected to become a sustainable model for literacy and communication development programs within educational and community environments.
