Penerapan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Video Animasi Powtoon Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XI Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris di SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda

Abstract

This study examines learning media based on animated PowToon videos on the material of giving and asking for information related to making reservations for students of class XI English Language and Literature at SMA Negeri 1 Samarinda in the 2021/2022 academic year and whether or not there is an increase in student learning outcomes. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) procedures. The research steps carried out include planning, implementation of the action, observation and reflection. This research is a classroom action research that does not consider the existence of a population and a sample because the impact of treatment only applies to subjects who are subject to action, so the research subjects in this study are all students of class XI consisting of 36 students. While the object of this research is the basic competence 3.6, namely understanding the provision of information related to reservations and others. The results showed that student learning outcomes increased and student activity in learning also increased. Student learning outcomes increased in each cycle from the initial condition the average daily test score of 66.05 to 78.05 in the final condition, an increase of 12.00. So the recommendation that can be given is that teachers should apply innovative learning models and use learning media. In order for learning outcomes to increase, the application of animated PowToon video media should be optimized, so that student learning outcomes are optimal.
