− Internet service provider is a company or institution that provides internet access to its customers. an internet network provider company (ISP) is expected to maintain and provide a stable and optimal connection. Internal network topology using Internal Border Gateway Protocol (iBGP) which is not properly designed at ISP companies can reduce customer convenience when there is interference on the Internal Border Gateway network which causes the internet network to shut down for quite a while. Therefore, in order to maintain and provide a stable and optimal network connection, it is necessary to have a failover system on the Internal Border Gateway Protocol network to anticipate when a disturbance occurs. The author's goal in this study is to design and build a failover system at the internet network service company PT. Quanta Tunas Abadi using the Network Development Life Cycle method. The results of the analysis and design of the iBGP topology become the basis for the development of the iBGP network at PT. Quanta Tunas Abadi. The results of implementing a failover system using the Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol have a positive effect because it can switch iBGP connection lines automatically with 4 seconds and the neighbor connection status remains connected when the main line is disconnected.
